Certificate Issuance

The student must obtain the original transcript and graduation certificate from the university immediately upon the announcement of the results.

If the student wishes to return to the Sultanate of Oman immediately after completing the exams and before the announcement of the results, the student can authorize a friend to handle the procedures for obtaining the certificates from the university, after filling out the necessary authorization forms at the university.

If the student does not attend the graduation ceremony at the university, it is advisable for the student to contact the graduation office at the university to request the delivery of the graduation certificate to the student address in the Sultanate of Oman after its issuance. It is preferable to request the graduation office to send the certificate via express mail and pay the associated fees to ensure its prompt delivery.

Certificate Attestation

The Cultural Attaché Office is responsible for attesting certificates, while equivalence falls under the jurisdiction of the Qualifications Equivalency and Recognition Department at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation. You can refer to the attestation and equivalence procedures guide, which outlines the required conditions and procedures for submitting attestation and equivalence requests.

Graduates are required to send copies of the certificates to be authenticated through the Ministry's electronic system, via the attestation and qualification equivalence service available on the Ministry's website. They should also submit an authentication request along with an attached authorization letter, signed by the student with a recent date, in accordance with the regulations of some universities. This is to enable the Cultural Attaché to communicate with the university and obtain confirmation of the certificates' validity. For any inquiries regarding the authentication process, please contact the Cultural Attaché.

Upon receiving the university's response, approval is granted for the authentication request through the system. Subsequently, the request is forwarded to the Qualifications Equivalency and Recognition Department at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation to issue the equivalence certificate.

For further information and to follow up on equivalence requests, you can contact the Client Services Department at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, or call the contact centre at the number +968 (24340900) or refer to the ministry's communication channels through the ministry's website.
