As in previous years the Consulate took part in the National Multicultural Festival – Food and Dance Spectacular which was held in Canberra on Saturday 7th February 2009. The event was a great opportunity for the community to experience cultures and traditions from a number of countries as well as taste an array of delicious foods and drinks.

The Consulate's stall gave spectators the chance to taste the traditional Omani sweets and coffee while learning more about Oman through an elaborate display of artefacts, pictures and literature.

The Food and Dance Spectacular is becoming more popular each year and it is a great opportunity for the Australian public to learn about the Sultanate of Oman.
